Beach Wedding at Ocean Place Resort & SpA
Gareth & T.K.’s Epic Beach Wedding at Ocean Place Resort – A Day to Remember!
Let me tell you, there’s something extra special about filming a wedding for a friend. I’ve known Gareth for over a decade- sharing the rugby pitch. So when T.K. reached out to me and asked, me to make her a wedding film that’s beautiful and creative, I was beyond honored. And of course, I said, YES!
Their wedding was at Ocean Place Resort and Spa in Long Branch, NJ, which basically turned into the ultimate reunion of family and friends from across the globe. Gareth’s cousins flew in all the way from England (props to them), and T.K.’s 94-year-old grandma. She made the trek too, proving that love and family really have no limits.
The Ceremony – A Beachfront Dream
Now, I’ve filmed a lot of weddings, but this one was straight out of a postcard. The ceremony was held right on the beach, and let me tell you, when Gareth saw T.K. for the first look, I almost lost it behind the camera. The ocean waves, the wide-open sky, and these two sharing this moment—it was the stuff of dreams. Not to mention, the beach setting gave me some serious creative freedom to capture those epic first look shots and couple portraits that scream “romantic getaway.”
Food Worthy of a TV Show
Okay, we’ve got to talk about the food. T.K. works for The Food Network, so you already know the cocktail hour and dinner were next-level. The hors d’oeuvres? Incredible. The dinner? Decadent. Every bite had you thinking, “Am I on a food show right now?” Let’s just say, I might’ve filmed a little slower during cocktail hour so I could snag a few bites (don’t tell anyone).
A Wedding That Felt Like Home
This wedding was more than just a gig—it was a chance to capture two awesome people and their beautiful love story. From the emotional ceremony on the beach to the gourmet dining experience, it was a day packed with moments that were as heartwarming as they were hilarious. I think I nailed it, but I’ll let you be the judge. Check out the wedding video below, and see for yourself!
