Amanda & Matt’s District Winery Wedding | Washington, DC
Amanda and Matt’s District Winery wedding in Washington, D.C. was a joyful winter celebration filled with laughter, waterfront views, and one unforgettable dance floor. If you’re planning a District Winery wedding and want to see how this modern Navy Yard venue comes to life on film, watch their highlight below.
Getting Ready in the Heart of Navy Yard
The day started at the Thompson Washington D.C., where Amanda got ready with her bridesmaids in bright window light overlooking the city. Matt and his groomsmen shared a relaxed morning nearby before meeting up for portraits around Navy Yard.
Before heading to the ceremony, the couple stopped at Bluejacket, one of their favorite spots, for a quick toast and a few candid photos. Those little personal moments gave the film a real sense of their life together in D.C.
A Romantic Ceremony at District Winery
Inside the Barrel Room at District Winery, warm wood tones, greenery, and candlelight transformed the space into something intimate and elegant for couple’s portraits. Upstairs, the ceremony space was transformed into a garden. It was such an ethereal backdrop as Amanda walked down the aisle and Matt saw her for the first time.
District Winery weddings are great for video because everything is close together. We can move from ceremony to portraits to reception without losing momentum, which keeps the story feeling natural and connected.

Portraits Along the Waterfront
After the ceremony we stepped outside toward the Navy Yard waterfront for portraits. Winter light reflected off the water and city skyline, giving the film a cinematic feel without needing elaborate setups.
Amanda and Matt were easygoing and present with each other, which always makes the strongest wedding films. When couples relax into the day, the real emotion shows up on camera.
Dancing, Eagles Pride, and a Night to Remember
Their reception started with heartfelt toasts and dinner with close friends and family. Then the dance floor opened—and never slowed down.
Amanda and Matt are huge Philadelphia Eagles fans, and their team winning a playoff game that night turned the reception into an even bigger celebration. Between the music, cheering, and nonstop dancing, the ending of their film feels exactly like their personalities—joyful and full of life.
